High Shoals Falls trail is a easy to moderate 1.2 mile hike just north of Helen. Lovely for a hot day; the path is shaded from the sun by trees the whole way. There are two waterfalls, both with a platform giving a view of the waterfalls while the refreshing spray drifts gently over to help you cool off.

High Shoals Falls
One of the things I love about living in North Georgia is the amount of hiking trails. The hike itself is always thoroughly enjoyable, even in the sticky humidity, and more often than not you are rewarded with a beautiful waterfall, breathtaking vista - or sometimes both.
