Was the Moon Landing Faked?

Six years ago I taught a church Sunday School class of 12 and 13 year olds and one week I asked if they knew what the Berlin Wall was.  Considering that they had never heard of it (seriously?  What's wrong with the education system today?!), then it's not really surprising that some people think the moon landing in 1969 was a hoax.

In this video, S. G. Collins sets out to show it wasn't a hoax.  As description on his post says; "Collins is not sure if men went to the moon. but he is sure they could not have faked it."

Setting aside your personal viewpoints on the political and other topics briefly mentioned in this clip (all done very tongue-in-cheek), you'll find, in addition to Collins' lovely sense of humour, some interesting stuff on lighting and film / video technology.

Beauty? It's in the Eye of the Beholder

When clients come back in after the photo shoot to see their images, sometimes I'll have one who is a little surprised at how they look.  My personal thought has been that the usual way we see ourselves is in a mirror, which is a reversed image.  So when we see a photo, it looks familiar enough, but there's something different and you can't quite work it out.

Today I watched this video and it really made me think about how we look at ourselves.  Do take the three minutes to watch this because you really need to see it for yourself.  And then think about it some.  Think about it a lot.

Emerson | Cumming, GA Child Photographer

Here's a cute little 3 month old for you.  Emerson was so serious during the entire shoot that when her mum came back in for the presentation, she was pleasantly surprised to see how many photos I managed to capture of this darling smile.  I just waited and watched until she forgot to be all curious about the camera and caught sight of mum - that's when she lit up beautifully.
